Word up

Mid-January can be tough. Cold, gray, flat. Let's spark it with motivation and intention. Two of my fave things.

Give me a killer track, an inspiring quote, an underdog to fight for. Before every game, I gotta be ready to run through a wall. As entrepreneurs fighting against the odds, we need all the mojo and intention we can get.

For the last few years, I have picked a "Word of the Year."

Cheesy?
Definitely.
Do I care?
Not one bit.

In 2020, my word was freedom.

Which at first seems ironic... But actually I traveled less, relaxed more, had less on my calendar, focused more on what matters. I had less stress and made more memories. It was an odd forced kind of freedom, but I am grateful for it.

For 2021, my word is elevate.

As in... elevate my game.

Lift up the boutiques in our tribe
Raise more money
Step out of my introvert shadows
Focus more on my unique ability
Rise early, do work that matters
Love my people

Elevate.

Word up, literally.
