Niche, please.

Boutiques: want to beat the bigs? Can't beat 'em by joining 'em. Their playbook isn’t built for you.

If you use it, it won't work. Sorry not sorry. Saving you a lot of time, heartache, and doh-re-mi.

This year, leave behind the idea that you are something you're not.

Niche please
If you are a boutique, be one.

Shitcan the idea that you need an army of salespeople flinging fact sheets all around town. 86 the huge budget for events, conferences, "speed dating", advertising. Get small.

  1. Niche down. Identify your target market with specificity.

  2. Figure out why you matter to them, how you can solve a problem or harness an opportunity.

  3. Invite a small group to "meet" your founder or PMs to talk, you know, like people.

The C-suite at the bigs ain't got the time for small, specific or niche. Not sure they even have time to be people.

Play your game.
