3 Tips before you leave the office for Thanksgiving break

Unexpected tokens of gratitude, appreciation and love. They are everything.

Here are 3 things you can do right now. Yes, now. Before you leave your office for Thanksgiving break.

1. Grab some notecards and a pen. Write short thank you notes to three people. Mail them. (Old school for the win.)

  • Your top client

  • Your hardest working teammate

  • Your best source of referrals

2. While you are on LinkedIn, pop over to the feeds of your three best prospects. Find their most recent posts and write a comment. (As someone who posts regularly, comments mean the world.)

  • Don’t overthink your comment. It doesn’t have to be a novel.

  • It can be as simple as, “Great post, especially (x,y,z from the post). Thanks for sharing.”

3. Write an email to your team thanking them for their hard work in this crazy year.

  • Extra credit if you give them all a day off in the next few weeks in honor of their dedication.

  • Trust me. It costs nothing and is worth everything.

Little things are the big things.

Here’s to letting your tribe know you appreciate them. I appreciate you.
