Go write a thank you note already

Before I left Newport for Jamaica, I put a stack of thank you cards in my suitcase.

Two weeks there, some magic was bound to happen. I knew memories would be made and people would touch our hearts.

People who aren’t on social media
Who aren't building their network
Becoming influencers
Trying to make an impact

And yet, these people are right in front of us.
Building a community
Influencing lives
Making a difference

They deserve a thank you.

Often, we get caught up in our heads. We talk ourselves out of writing thank you notes because our penmanship stinks or we don’t know what to say. Maybe it seems cheesy. I get it. Do it anyway.

“Thank you for ________.”
Sign your name.

To your co-worker who helped you out last week
To your mechanic who saved you the other day
To your significant other who saves you every day
To people who save you once a year
In a home away from home
For 2 weeks
And their love carries you the other 351 days

Go write a thank you note already.
