Make your past work for your future

One of my favorite ways to make your past work for your future? Make a timeline of you.

Your timeline can include:

  • places you've worked

  • milestones along the way

  • all the key points that led to where you are now

(Don't forget endings. They spark beginnings.)

If you’re a founder or Portfolio Manager with a new firm or fund, here are some extra pointers:

  • Put the timeline on the front page of your fact sheet.

  • Include it near the start of your presentation.

  • Use that visual as a prop to tell your backstory.

It is one of my power moves in raising billions.

Take it and make it yours!
